Rumour has it Blu-Ray has won

It would seem that battle for the domination of DVD has not been the battle to end all battles. This is sad day if the rumours are true, but Toshiba the main backer of HD DVD has apparently pulled out of the race, this has effectively given Blu-Ray the title and with it the right to take over the market.

Naturally from many peoples point of view the battle would never have actually been a war, as Blu-Ray’s support has been growing day by day as it gets accepted by many manufactures within their products, at the moment for a consumer wishing to use both formats would need a player with two players inside.

So is this true or a just a rumour? We are not likely to know until the dust settles and we get some proper announcements coming out to let everyone know the real story.
