Sausages really are not good for you
Researchers have found that by eating just one sausage a day could actually significantly increase the risk of getting bowel cancer, which happens to be one of the most deadly forms of cancer that you can get.
This warning is not just confined to sausages, but to all processed meat products such as bacon, ham, mince, hamburgers, pastrami, salami and hot dogs, but the results are the same with only around two ounces per day being enough to increase the likelihood of getting bowel cancer by a fifth or twenty per cent.
But here in the UK it would seem that the warnings in the past are not getting through, it is estimated that a third of Britons are totally unaware of the dangers of eating highly processed foods and therefore there are call for more advertising and education into healthy eating. Bowel cancer claims sixteen thousand lives every year which should be a good enough warning for all.
