Trapster fights speed cameras

Normally if you are driving along and someone flashes their headlights, it means that they either know you or that there is a police speed trap down the road, this friendly warning system is ok. However naturally not everyone is going to let you know, but there could be a new system that works like that on it is way.

It is called Trapster, quite a catchy name! It does what it says it does, it’s an early warning system for drivers and uses the mobile phone network to get the messages out. The system has is being developed in the states at the moment and uses an already establish network of hotspots to get the information out.

With many subscribers signing up for the free and choose what level of protection they require, be it speed cameras or all types of speed camera etc. There is no doubt that a system similar to this would help out many people in the UK, but would it be allowed too? That’s the question to be answered.
