With changes to the copyright laws taking hold all around the world, it is making unsuspecting people criminals without them even knowing it. The copyright laws will cover all sorts of film, music and even software which are putting many people in the firing line.

The country in question here is Canada and although the law is yet to be passed there are many people who have been thinking about what the consequences will be for the ordinary man in the street who may let their friends borrow something that is covered by the law.

One other thing about the law in Canada is the recording of TV shows onto video tape, yes there are people who still do that, and this too will become a criminal offence especially if you lend to one of your friends who will also become a criminal for receiving stolen goods.
