Food prices mean extra security

You can always tell when things are getting tough; people begin to take extra measures to secure their property. However, some people take this just a little bit further than other do.

In Germany, there is a family who have gone to extremes to protect themselves when they go down to the local supermarket. They do not use a hummer, range rover or some other heavy-duty four-wheel drive vehicle. This is because they have gone for the ultimate in personal road protection, a legal road-going tank!

The family from Neu Anspach bought an ex British Army Fox FV721 armoured vehicle, which would have been used for reconnaissance in areas where it would be unsafe to simply walk around, so clearly it is ideal for the supermarket run!
