Foods have more tests than cigarettes

In a recent report presented by Dr. Nigel Gray, member of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Tobacco Regulation Study Group has thrown up some serious questions as to how foods and other consumer products are tested.

The conclusion being that simple products like jam are tested throughout the production process more than cigarettes are! This has caused some serious concerns over how different products are regulated.

The problem is that many countries have different rules and bodies that regulate them, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) would like to see an international standard across the board. They claim that there is no need for extensive agencies as the framework already exists.
