Second-hand stores increase sales

It seems that the credit crunch is having an effect on the High St, but probably not in the way that most people would think. Charity shops, which have been for a long time the haven of the less wealthy people as a source of clothing and other products including items for the home, but that has all, changed now.

Charity shops are reporting that their sales have increased and it is not just the less well off people who are having a look at what’s on the shelves, it seems that even the middles classes have discovered that a charity shop can be a welcome break to the credit crunch.

Of course these are different types of shop depending on where they are located, would this mean that these shops have a better class of products such as designer goods. Well yes, it does, for a long time charity shop have been a source of cheap designer wear and their increased turnover shows this.
