Starbucks likes water

You would expect a coffee shop to use a certain amount of water, after all, they would need it to make the drinks and wash up afterwards, but it seems that the set up that world famous coffee brand Starbucks is using more than their fair share of water.

Apparently, they have upset many of the world’s environment groups over their use of a faucet; this is essentially a constantly running tap of water, which is used for the cleaning of cups etc. However, if you imagine that they one of these running in every store around the world, then maybe it is a problem.

It has been estimated that the ten thousand Starbucks stores use around twenty four million litres of water every single day, which can be more than some small countries use. Maybe it is time for a rethink there.
