Tinned food gets canned

Tinned food has been around for a long time now, it was first used to preserve food and was used on long expeditions to such places like the North Pole and Mountain ranges, as the food lasted for a long time. But now there are other methods of storage and packaging the humble tin can is no longer the popular choice for shoppers.

The only two products that appear in cans and are still fairly popular are Baked Beans and Tomatoes; these are essential ingredients to compliment meals and cannot really be replicated by any other means.

However tinned food actually seals in the nutrients of the contents and once used the tin can is totally recyclable, so maybe people are missing the point there.
