Dell to open own stores

Having seen how well Apple are doing in their stores, it seems that Dell are only too quick to replicate their success by opening up their own branded stores in the high streets of the UK, well probably retail parks actually.

Dell lost nearly seven per cent of its market share last year, so now they want it back and a bit more! Which is why they have finally decided to launch the Dell Stores, although they are retailing through the Carphone Warehouse at the moment.

This will be a great thing for Dells existing customer base, who like Apple fans, would not buy any other computer. Dell plans for the first stores to be opening their doors sometime in 2008.
