Microsoft acquires Jellyfish

The social shopping site Jelly Fish has been acquired or is it assimilated by the software company Microsoft. No official announcements have been made, so the details of the deal are really only down to speculation.

As normal with these types of takeovers the company will still be running its own affairs, but now it will have the safety of the Microsoft. Jelly Fish has raised money through various funding plans previously such as $5 million last year, so the figures that Microsoft paid, must be way over that.

The deal is likely to see Jelly fish included into the windows live search and will add a different type of shopping to the site.
