Buy Nothing Day!

At this time of the year the top priority for the average person is to spend money on the way up to Christmas and the New Year, however there are those who are very anti spending and they have created a Buy Nothing Day, this is set for November 24^th and there are several ways of taking part.

Send a postcard to a friend to promote Buy Nothing Day 2007.

Get a new desktop background to remind yourself to participate in Buy Nothing Day.

Organise an event. There are plenty of ideas to get you started in the Buy Nothing Day Toolkit. Have fun and let us know what you got up to!

Naturally the choice of date is significant, being fours before Christmas, actually if this went ahead it would be a great time to go out shopping the streets and shops would be empty!
