Shopping centres host eco friendly events

Shoppers at the Arndale centre will be submitted to a barrage of eco friendly awareness over the coming week, they will be urged to turn over a new leaf and make pledged to go green, this will be backed up with many activities which are linked to some eco friendly community events.

There will also be opportunities for shoppers to give up their plastic bags in exchange for an eco friendly reusable Mall tote bag. And will also be encouraged to make a pledge on their specially designed and built pledge tree.

Naturally it is not going to be all fun, there will be plenty of leaflets and other information around just in case the message doesn’t get through, just hope that they are recycled.

The week will be given the title of EnviroMall Week and is headed up by a large Polar Bear who goes by the name of Bjorn.
