Santa Claus slims down

Santa refuses to put a pillow inside his jacket to make him look slightly plump, because he believes that if kids see him t like that it will help to promote childhood obesity!

Santa, who is in reality Bill Winton thinks that when children see Santa as fat and jolly person, they must feel that it’s ok to be over weight, and unhealthy. His bosses at the Westside Plaza Shopping Centre, Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, fully understand the eighty year olds thoughts on the matter and are backing him up fully, as they too believe that Santa is a role model.

Yet as ever there is always another side, the Paisley Centre, also in Scotland are trying to encourage their Santa to put weight on by providing him with free food and beer. Beer, drunk Santa and children, not a very good combination!
