No plastic bags at Wholefoods

The green food store group Wholefoods has announced that their customers will no longer be able to put their shopping in the free plastic bags that they have got used to over the years.

The store group will stop giving away the bags in all of its 270 stores by “Earth Day” on the 22nd April 2008.

What customers are hope to do now is either bring their own bags, which could be either reusable or old shopping bags, but for those customers who do not want to carry around old shopping bags around with them all of the time, there will always be the option of buying a brand new paper bag made from recycled paper.
