For years now Apple has been regarded as the number one in music downloads, firstly due the enormous success of the iPod in its various guises and secondly in order to corner the market in music downloads they created iTunes which has undoubtedly been the premier site for music legal music downloads since is was created.

But Apple has to be aware because there is another kid on the block who is looking to take the crown from apple, or least give them a good run for their money.

Amazon MP3 have around three and half million tracks from the four main record labels covering over to hundred and seventy thousand artists, this is quite impressive, but what could be the banker for them is price, they charge 50p or less per track, it has to be a winner.
